Dr. Colton Mentzer lives in Ankeny with his wife, Paige. He enjoys being outdoors spending time with his wife, family, and friends. On weekends you can find him boating, hunting, attending Iowa State sporting events, and being involved at his local church. He also enjoys exploring new areas of town with Paige and checking out new restaurants. He was born and raised in Alden, Iowa and attended Iowa Falls - Alden High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and went on to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. While at Palmer, Dr. Colton served as a Business Ambassador in the Palmer Center for Business Development. He was also involved in various clubs on campus including Motion Palpation club and McKenzie Method club. Dr. Colton graduated from Palmer in February of 2022 and loves being able to serve the Ankeny community at Bloyer Chiropractic and Wellness.
Dr. Colton utilizes many techniques under the Palmer Package umbrella including: Gonstead, Diversified, and Thompson Drop Table. He also has training in the Activator technique, McKenzie Method, and other soft tissue techniques allowing him to treat other musculoskeletal and nerve conditions in the spine as well as extremities. He also enjoys continuing his education to stay up to date on the latest information on chiropractic treatment and to provide quality chiropractic care for his patients.
He is confident that he has the ability to meet each patient where they’re at on their path to wellness and on an individualized level. He has a passion for helping people to reach their goals and achieving a greater level of health and function! He believes everyone was created with their own skills, abilities, and passions for how they serve the world and he looks forward to helping you perform those things at a greater level!
